A fine of 500 euros was issued against a 46-year-old man in Pafos District for a case of using an audio imitation device
According to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michael Ioannou, on Wednesday, at 10:30 in the morning, members of the Game Service spotted a person aged 46 years hunting, illegally in possession of a device that produces mimic voices of wild birds.
A further check of his possession revealed a shotgun, type DOKO, with three full cartridges.
On the same day, the 46-year-old man to whom the above weapon belongs was taken to the Panagia police station and an out-of-court fine in the amount of 500 euros was issued against him.
The gun and the cartridges, as well as the echo-mimic device were seized as evidence.
The Panagia police station is investigating the case.
