Today, the weather will be mainly cloudy with showers in several areas and isolated thunderstorms. On the higher peaks of the Troodos, snow or sleet will occasionally fall. Locally the phenomena are likely to be prolonged or intense. Winds will be mainly southwesterly, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, but on the coast very strong and occasionally gusty, 6 to 7 Beaufort. The sea will be choppy to choppy and offshore choppy and locally very choppy. The temperature will rise to 16 degrees in the interior, around 17 degrees on the coast and 6 degrees in the higher mountains.
