CEC chairman wants a strong "government"
The CEC has announced that it will submit an objection to the result of the "parliamentary elections", its chairman Faiz Soutziouoglu said, saying that "in an instant" from 25 "deputies" to 24.
As reported in the occupied territories, Mr. Suzhouoglu added that the results may be correct, but we want them to be re-evaluated, saying that they lost the 25th seat when the counting of the horizontal - mixed vote began.
They estimated from the beginning, he continued, that the CEC would get between 23 and 26 MPs. With the electoral system as it stands, he noted, even if a party gets 50% of the votes and a certain number of parties pass the threshold for admission to the "parliament", the number of "deputies" will be that number.
The CEC president said he will have talks to form a "government" with all parties that entered the "parliament", even the PKK. We have seen, he said, what happened with a cooperation of 26 "deputies" and he wants a strong "government."
