Free access walk-in vaccination centres continue to operate as normal

Citizens can be served by the free access vaccination centres operating in all provinces, as part of efforts to boost the immunity of population groups, who are most vulnerable to serious disease says the Ministry of Health

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health, "the booster/3rd dose in persons 12-17 years old, is administered with Pfizer/BioNTech MRNA technology vaccine provided that the period of six (6) months from the receipt of the 2nd dose has elapsed."

To administer the vaccine to persons aged 12-17 years, an identification document (ID card, passport) and the vaccination card must be presented.[/B] Note that receiving the booster/3rd dose of the vaccine is optional.

Also, "the administration of booster/3rd dose to persons aged 18 years and over continues as usual, either by appointment or through walk-in vaccination centres".

As stated by the Ministry of Health, "the booster/4th dose is given to persons over 70 years of age, persons of any age who reside or work in nursing homes and closed structures, provided that a period of five (5) months has elapsed since receiving the booster/3rd dose".

To administer the vaccine to persons over 70 years of age, an identification document (identity card, passport) and the vaccination card must be presented.

This will be followed by an information session on booster/4th dose vaccination for health professionals and immunocompromised persons. And receiving the booster/4th dose of vaccine is optional.



The walk-in vaccination centres are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday between 8:00am - 3pm, Wednesday from 8:00am - 3pm, Wednesday from 8:00am.p.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 1 p.m.
