In 11 citizens and 4 establishments were denounced by the Police in the last 24 hours, after 2,663 checks carried out nationwide, in order to ascertain compliance with and implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act.
In Nicosia 1,284 checks were carried out, from which no complaints were made, while in Limassol 234 checks were carried out, from which 4 complaints were made by citizens and 3 by establishments.
In Larnaca 487 checks were carried out and 6 citizen complaints were lodged, in Paphos 140 checks were carried out, which resulted in one citizen and one business complaint, in Famagusta 238 checks were carried out and no complaints were lodged, while in the Morphou area 135 checks were carried out, with no complaints.
Also, nationwide, the traffic police carried out 145 checks, with no complaints.
The complaints about citizens concerned the non-use of protective masks.
With regard to the three establishments in Limassol in two of them there was no customer safepass check at the entrance and in the other one patrons were spotted dancing.
In the establishment reported in Paphos, the manager did not wear a protective mask and the number of customers inside the establishment exceeded the permitted limit.
