The section of the Nicosia-Lemesos motorway in the direction of Limassol, near Moni, which was closed at around 12 noon, has been reopened to traffic.00 noon on Thursday.

The section of the motorway was closed due to a number of bricks falling from a vehicle and scattered on both lanes of the road.

Members of the Police rushed to the scene to regulate traffic, provide assistance and clean up the road, while traffic towards Limassol was directed through the exit to Moni, towards the old Nicosia-Lemesos road.

The motorway carriageway at the site has been cleared and the road has been opened to traffic, which now continues as normal.
