In the last 24 hours, the Police have made complaints against 18 citizens and 8 establishments for violation of measures of protection against the spread of the coronavirus.
As an official of the communication branch of the Police told the Cyprus News Agency, during the last 24 hours that ended at 06:00 this morning, the Force made a total of 2.013 checks throughout free Cyprus.
In Nicosia 564 checks were carried out and 4 citizens and 3 establishments were reported, in Limassol 259 checks were carried out with 6 citizens and 2 establishments reported, in Larnaca 3 citizens and 2 establishments were reported after 456 checks, in Paphos 2 citizens and 1 establishment were reported after 107 checks, in Famagusta 3 citizens were reported after 341 checks, while in the Morphou area 142 checks were carried out without any complaints.
Finally, the Traffic Departments carried out 144 checks without any complaints.
€8,250 fine
According to the police, in Nicosia, €500 fines were issued to two shops where an employee was found without a safe pass, while a fine of €4 was issued.000 to a bar where patrons were found without a safe pass.

Finally, in Paphos a €750 fine was issued to a restaurant where a manager was found without a safe pass and without using the correct mask, the police spokesman said.
