British scientists have drawn up a list of coronavirus hotspots Outdoor sports are the second hotspot for the spread of coronavirus after shopping in shops
British scientists have drawn up a list of activities considered to be "hotspots" for the spread of coronavirus, members of the Sage committee advising the Johnson government on the Covid pandemic.
The study, conducted under the guidance of the London government, is based on the daily activities of 10,000 people with the authors surprised to find that outdoor sports are the second hotspot for the spread of coronavirus after shopping in shops. Outdoor sports carry a risk level of 1.36% according to the study.
As the British newspaper "The Sun" reports, using public transport, people are less at risk of contracting coronavirus than if they play sports outdoors, according to the study in question.
For scientists, outdoor sports put one at greater risk of infection because of the "social activities" associated with sports as well as physical activity. The research showed that outdoor sports carry a risk level of 1.36%.
By using transport or visiting nursing homes, people are 1.3 times more at risk of contracting Covid, the survey conducted between September and November 2021 showed. The research also found that, those who had to commute to work reasonably- were more likely to contract Covid than those who telecommuted.
