[Cyprus Times] New deaths in Greece hit "red". Another 5736 cases of coronavirus

The cases recorded in the last 24 hours in Greece - The announcement of EODY - All the information with new deaths and hospitalizations

EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 5,736, of which 7 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,012,659 (daily change +0.6%), of which 50.5% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 114 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2.987 are associated with an already known case.

New deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 130, with a total of 19,475 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.3% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 700 (59.9% male). Their median age is 64 years. 80.1% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 568 (81.14%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 132 (18.86%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,625 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

The admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 325 (daily change -2.4%). The seven-day average admission is 382 patients.The median age of cases is 38 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
