In particular, the Ministry of Health announced that 5048 (positivity rate: 2.98%) new cases of COVID-19 were detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid tests (antigen rapid test). A total of 169,476 tests.
\N\NAt the same time, two more deaths were announced involving a 76-year-old man who ended up on 31 December in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital, and a 78-year-old woman who ended up on 31 December in Famagusta General Hospital.
In total, 180 patients with COVID-19[/B] are being treated in the hospitals of the OCYPY, of which 79 are in serious condition or in PICU
Of the 79 patients in serious condition, 28 are intubated, 6 are in an Intensive Care Unit off a ventilator and 45 are in an Intensive Care Unit.
