A mobile vaccination unit will be at the New Health Center, in Athienou, on Saturday, according to an announcement of the Municipality.

The Ministry of Health, listening to the request of the Municipality to help residents who want to be vaccinated against coronavirus and reside in the border town of Athienou, has arranged for a mobile unit of the Ministry to carry out vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine on that day.

So far, it is added, a total of 512 people have indicated that they wish to be vaccinated and interest is still very high. These are people of all ages, 20 with the first dose, 5 with the second dose and the rest, people who completed their vaccination at least 5.5 months ago, with the third dose.

The vaccination is said to start at 8.30 a.m. and will take place at the New Athienou Health Centre. All residents who will be vaccinated have been registered by the municipality and are advised to present at the Health Centre at different intervals by groups to avoid overcrowding in the area.

The Mayor of Athienou, Kyriakos Kareklas, "warmly thanks once again the Ministry of Health and especially the Deputy Director of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health, Olga Kalakouta, who always helpful and willing approved the vaccination in Athienou, showing once again her human character and professionalism".
