Metsola's first speech on Cyprus "We will never be united as long as Cyprus remains divided"
During her first speech as the new President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola (Malta) referred to the need to resolve the Cyprus problem and the role that Europe can play due to its historical experience, European People's Party).
"Europe has a legacy of wars, but also of healing wounds. We can use this experience to help in efforts to end the division in the EU's last divided country, Cyprus, under the auspices of the United Nations project," she said.
