At the table of the meeting of Minister of Health Michael Hadjipandela with the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee, the special protocol for entertainment, which has been eagerly awaited for some days by the operators of the leisure sector, was raised.
During the meeting, the protocol for the operation of entertainment centres was "locked" with the Minister of Health, Michael Hatzipandela, announcing that dancing will only be allowed upon presentation of a negative same-day test by all citizens, regardless of any history of vaccination or disease.
Hadjipantelas, in a statement after the meeting, explained that the protocol will be announced in a decree issued tomorrow by the Ministry of Health and will allow dancing in various venues.
He noted that "the protocol states that dancing with presentation of a same-day rapid test will be allowed for all citizens without exception in music and dance clubs and catering venues with more than 150 people."
"Those establishments opting for the above measure will have to inform the Ministry of Health as well as the security officer of that establishment in writing," he added."
Asked whether same-day rapid tests will be accepted by entertainment centres that adopt the measure after midnight, the minister clarified: "we mean same-day, not 24-hour. If someone enters the establishment at 12 o'clock and it becomes 1 o'clock afterwards, it is reasonable that they will not have to take a rapid test to re-enter the restaurant."
"Detailed clarifications will be issued by the Ministry of Health and people will be aware of them," he stressed.΄
