The Senate of the Technological University has made decisions for the spring semester. It remains open for students with exceptions for unvaccinated students What will apply to these cases
The Cyprus University of Technology's decisions on the conduct of courses of the Spring Semester have been "locked",[/B] starting next Monday, 17 January.
As mentioned in a previous CyprusTimes, TEPAK was determined to follow a different line of sailing by keeping the university institution open albeit in the shadow of the aggravated epidemiological picture, with adherence to measures and protocols.
The decisions taken by the Senate of the Technological University confirm a report by the Cyprus Times.More specifically, it was decided that the University will remain open, as was the case last semester, with some minor variations.
Specifically, it was decided that:
Vaccinated students or those who got sick will return to the University as normal from January 17, presenting their SafePass.
Unvaccinated students will attend their courses remotely, via tele-education, except in cases where they have a laboratory course as it is expected that special laboratory course audiences will be created for them in which they will be able to participate physically.
It is noted that the presence of unvaccinated persons in the special laboratory course audiences will be allowed if they have a negative test result (rapid test) of 48 hours.
The same will apply to academics who have not been vaccinated.
