George Kolokasidis on the announcement of the Cyprus Integrity Forum

Resilient institutions must be built to bring even the most corrupt President to his knees, he says in a written statement on the announcement of the Cyprus Integrity Forum, noting the further deterioration of Cyprus' position in the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index for the year 2021, presidential candidate George Kolokasidis.

He added that this index is not theoretical, since corruption deters foreign investment which Cyprus needs so much.

Noting that the problem of corruption is not just economic, but is slowly taking root in the minds of every Cypriot, big or small, who has ceased to have confidence in institutions and democracy and is distancing himself from the state and moving away from politics, he says that those who dragged Cyprus' name through the mud must be punished.
