Although it's been almost four years since the sexual harassment allegations the actor has now spoken out about it for the first time.
"I was completely blind about the power of authority or something I didn't want to hurt people," said the actor who was accused of sexual misconduct in 2018.
Franco said his problems spiraled out of control when he realized he "could never be loyal to anyone" until he met his girlfriend Isabel Paczad.
"I cheated on everyone before Isabel," he confessed."
"Actually, I wasn't a one-night stand type of guy you know with the people I dated I was with for a long time, I just couldn't be present for any of them. And my behavior got to the point of hurting everyone."
He also said that the attention he got from the women he dated was like a powerful drug that he was addicted to for 20 years. Until his daughter-in-law Iris Torres gave him a book to read about sex and addiction, which he said hit him like a bullet and he thought: "Oh my God, this is me."
As he said, when he was able to fight his alcohol addiction, and that was when he was 17, he sought to "fill the hole" in other addictions.
"And so in a weird way, I became addicted to acceptance, I guess, or success, or whatever it is," he added."
