United Cyprus Party (BKP) Chairman Izzet Izzian who is part of the platform set up to boycott the "elections", announced that the "platform" has already started its active action and said that "boycotting the elections will help make people aware of the fait accompli in Cyprus, will help promote their struggle for a federal solution and the creation of a free and independent Cyprus".
According to Vatan, in a written statement, Izzian stressed that "their opponents are not the forces that say they support the federal solution, but the regime" and appealed to the TCs to support their struggle to boycott the "elections".
Underlining that the rule of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Turkey and its misguided economic policies make it responsible for the economic collapse in the "country," Izjian said the best response that could be given to Turkey and those who cooperate with it in the occupied territories is a strong and powerful boycott of the upcoming "parliamentary elections."
