In a festive atmosphere observing all the appropriate measures against the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony "CELEBRATION OF THE Lemesian Carnival Queen 2022" took place last night at the Lanitis Mills in Limassol, where the new Limassol Carnival Queen Vera Efthymiou Parlalidou took the scepter from King Lemesio, in the presence of the Mayor of Limassol, Councillors, the Royal Family and the public.

The ceremony was followed by the musical performance "LES AND THERE WAS THERE" with the eight-piece orchestra of Admitos Pitsilides, with songs by great Greek composers of a bygone era, in a carnival atmosphere and with the scent of old Athens.

The audience had the opportunity to watch the programme of the evening and at the same time to browse the hall to enjoy the unique exhibition of cartoons, photography, posters, works of children from primary schools of Limassol and projections from previous carnivals that formed the action "CARNIVAL EXHIBITIONS".

The whole event was broadcasted online via livestreaming on the official FaceBook page "Limassol Carnival" of the Limassol Municipality.

The carnival events will continue until March 6, with many of the events being livestreamed online, giving the public the opportunity to watch them live.

Participation in all carnival events is free of charge with pre-booking required. For more information and the carnival programme below, the public can visit the Limassol Municipality's website and social media.
