Imamoglu is far ahead of Erdogan in new poll 62,8 percent believe there is bad administration in Turkey

By a large margin ahead of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu in a presidential election, according to the latest poll by Yöneylem published today by the opposition newspaper Jumhuriyet. Tayyip Erdogan receives 35% and Ekrem Imamoglu 51.2%, according to the results.

Asked if there would be an election this Sunday, 26.9% answered the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), 26% the Republican People's Party (CHP), 10.5% the Good Party, 7.9% the pro-Kurdish HDP, 3.9% the far-right National Action Party.

Asked whether they would vote for the governing coalition (People's Alliance) or the opposition coalition (National Alliance), 32.4% answered the People's Alliance and 40% the National Alliance. 15% answered parties other than alliances.

62.8% think there is bad administration in Turkey. 6.4% want a return to the parliamentary system. 55.6% say they will never vote for Tayyip Erdogan and 32.6% say they will definitely vote. 54% say they will vote for whoever is Tayyip Erdogan's opponent. 66.2% believe that the economic crisis is one of the most urgent issues that must be resolved immediately.
