Ministry of Health announcement for the automated screening of citizens from 18 December via the CovScan Cyprus application

In view of the decision of the Council of Ministers to allow entry from 15 December to persons who have received one dose of the vaccine with an additional negative laboratory test PCR or Rapid test in the following areas: indoor and outdoor stadiums, theatres, cinemas, theatres, theatres, music and dance halls, entertainment centres, catering establishments and social events (weddings, baptisms), the Ministry of Health informs that from 15 to 17 December, these persons will be checked by showing their vaccination card, in paper or digital form (without the requirement to scan the vaccination certificate) and by scanning the European Digital Certificate for the PCR or Rapid test.

Automated testing of the above individuals and those for whom 7 months have elapsed since the completion of their vaccination schedule and who have not received a booster dose of vaccine will be implemented from 18 December with the introduction of an additional colour indicator (purple).

Citizens who have completed their vaccination schedule or received the booster dose of the vaccine, or have fallen ill, it is clarified that, the check will be done normally through the CovScan Cyprus application.

More information will be provided by the Deputy Ministry of Research and Innovation in the coming days.
