[/QUOTE]The 29-year-old woman arrived at the Evelpidon Street courts under draconian security measures and with her head bowed -The suffocating death requires tension and duration and therefore it is almost certain that the mother is lying, The biological father of the child is in a psychiatric clinic in Poland
The 29-year-old mother of 7-year-old Andreas, who is accused of manslaughter together with her 33-year-old partner who in 2017 suffocated the unfortunate child with a duct tape, passed the door of the Athens Prosecutor's Office a few hours ago.
The 33-year-old Polish man was brought before the prosecutor yesterday, who charged him with joint manslaughter and gave him a deadline to apologize on Tuesday morning.
The 29-year-old arrived shortly before 10 a.m. at the Evelpidon Street courts under draconian security measures and, with her head bowed, did not answer any of the journalists' questions.

The mother's unconvincing claims and the mysterious informant
Meanwhile, a mysterious informant from an arrest in the southern suburbs, the mother's lie that her ex-husband returned from Poland to get his son and the information that the biological father of the 7-year-old boy has been hospitalized for years in a psychiatric clinic in the town of Varta in central Poland, were the key elements for the Homicide Unit of the Attica Security Department to solve the heinous crime involving a young boy in the center of Athens.
As the Greek protothema.gr reports, experienced officers describe the boy's mother as very cruel, who tried to shake off any responsibility, even though she knew everything, while at the same time they cannot explain the inconceivable move of the 34-year-old Polish man to constantly carry with him, in a toolbox, the bones of the boy he murdered in a martyr's way in January 2017.

The profiles and statements
When it comes to the profiles of the two defendants, an EL.AS officer with knowledge of the case says that the Polish killer, who is known for petty crimes, "is to a large extent sincere. Not 100%. but he is largely honest. He's the kind of guy who cries, puts his head down appears remorseful and says he made a mistake. For his act, he said he put tape on the child's face, that he was in the house and pointed out where he had hidden the body. The 34-year-old is not involved with the mother. He seems to be covering up for her and not blaming her. He says that she was there but not involved. He's protecting her. Of course, the defendant cannot understand the extent of the criminal responsibility. Because the tape was not made by both of them..." the officer explains.
Referring to 29-year-old Christina Claudia Maniataki, he points out that "She, on the other hand, in her apology is very negative. It is obvious that she is lying, because she says things that do not stand up to logic. Like for example that she did not see the tape in the child's mouth. That is definitely a lie. As is that he says he didn't see him put the tape in the victim's mouth. That she did not see him inflict suffocating death."
Officers say that suffocating death, requires intensity and duration no matter how small the child is and therefore they believe it is certain that the 29-year-old mother is lying. She says in her statement that her son, the Pole had been punishing him and suddenly fell down. And this they say does not hold water and they believe that she is trying to cover herself, that she is not responsible because she did not understand what had happened to the child, claiming that she was playing a video game at the time of the murder and did not see what was happening. "I was playing the computer games and didn't see," she said in an attempt to "bail herself out."
This, the cops reckon, is the toughest one. Rigid and cold in the sense that, she claims things that go against all logic and no one accepts them. For homicide profilers, it is a given that this woman participated in this inhumane behavior. Even if she was afraid, even if whatever was happening behind the closed doors of the house at 5 Skiathou Street in Kato Patisia where the crime took place, she approved of it because it was done repeatedly. And this is supported by the fact that after the child's death, the Pole continued to abuse the little girl. Which means, say experienced homicide detectives, that the "pair of horrors and hallucinations" (p.s both are steeped in the world of methamphetamine with the woman allegedly "cleaned up" two years ago and her Polish lover, notorious for petty crimes, still using Sisha) learned nothing from their previous behavior and the child's murder, and she herself continued to maintain an affair with the perpetrator.
This evidence tells police officers that 29-year-old Christina - Claudia Maniataki, psychologically, mentally, morally, tolerated, acquiesced and ultimately at least encouraged the unthinkable attitude of the perpetrator of the act and his generally abusive behavior towards her children. In fact, reports say that the prosecutor ruled, which of course the police officers agree with, that her apology does not convince that she did not complicity.
During her pre-trial testimony at the offices of the Homicide Department of the Attica Security, the 29-year-old "Medea" tried to appear emotional and there were not a few times when she seemed to "break down" and cry. But these reactions did not convince the police officers. This is because they feel certain that she did not reveal the whole truth to them. "This person, she doesn't seem to have regretted being devastated and admitting that it was her fault. To at least say 'I was the mother and I had to protect my children. Instead, she tries to get her tail out of the case with a slyness repeating that "I don't know, I didn't see or hear anything, repeating that he was punished and the child was hurt."
When it comes to hiding the body, the 29-year-old distances herself by saying that when the Pole did what he did he told her "Go away. I'll take care of it," and she left without knowing what she did from that point on. At the time, of course, the Pole was describing everything. Even down to how he put the child in that particular structure, in the concrete tomb to hide it. For the cops, his actions made some sense as they have seen such situations in the past, as in the case in 2015 with the body of the sailor that his Bulgarian partner hid in the freezer, and the case of 5-year-old Annie, where also in 2015, her father chopped her up, boiled her and gave her to the dogs to make the evidence of his brutal act disappear.
But what surprised them, however, is the aftermath. Namely, when the Polish killer leaves the house and chooses to take it out because someone could find it and more importantly the fact that he carried the bones with him. And that's what's forensically most interesting. He told the officers that for a time when he left the first house, he was homeless and wherever he went to sleep he carried them with him. Then when he went to the last house on Astypalea Street, he put them on the couch and left them there.
I wonder why he chose to keep the bones of a child he had murdered with him at all times?
The informant and the psychiatric clinic in Poland
The countdown to the revelation of the murder of the 7-year-old child took place in the autumn. That's when a mystery man arrested in the southern suburbs tipped off that something was going on with this couple. The tip, is put under the microscope of experienced homicide officers and slowly the tangle begins to unravel.
The first thing they do is look for the family. And then they learn that there was indeed abuse with the little girl as the victim. Because her mother's Polish partner used cruel and inhuman methods to punish the children when they didn't behave or disobey his commands. Such as spanking, standing, starvation. And the poor little brothers defended themselves. Until in 2018, a year after the murder of the 7-year-old boy with duct tape in his mouth, the little girl went to school brutally abused and as a result the teachers informed the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office and the child was given to a foster family.
It was also learned that the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office also searched for the boy, but the mother said that he was with his biological father in Poland. And that was of particular interest to homicide officers. As they say, it was a very easy excuse, but one that had to be dug into in depth. And they did. In this part, however, the reports say that they had a very great difficulty in determining whether the child was actually in Poland. They were nevertheless able to find people in the father's family environment and shed light on the case, because the biological father has been in a psychiatric hospital in the city of Varta, central Poland, since 2018 AND the police could not get in touch with him. "He is a man who seems to have no contact with the environment. He is in his own world," an officer with knowledge of the case told protothema.gr with reports that the mother claimed her ex-husband, while he left in 2015 and abandoned them, returned to Athens in 2016 and took the child. Which is false as a Homicide investigation showed that in 2016, the child's biological father neither travelled to Greece nor returned home with the baby boy. So with this indisputable fact and since they knew that their mother had lied and they also knew that she did not have the child and neither did the father, they started looking for the whereabouts of the 7-year-old boy. So, when they gathered the necessary evidence they were arrested at noon on Friday at the GADA mansion where they finally broke down and confessed to this horrible crime.
In fact, it is worth noting that they were arrested separately as in the last fortnight it seems that the couple had quarreled and lived separately.
