Due to the weather conditions prevailing in the mountainous areas CLOSED for traffic is the road Papoutsas - Alonas.

The roads are open ONLY for vehicles equipped with anti-slip chains or with four-wheel drive:
Platron - Troodos
Karvouna - Troodos
Prodromos - Troodos
Papoutsas - Agios Theodoros
Pedoulas - Prodromos
Pedoulas - Pinewood - Kakopetrias
Prodromos - Platron

In the other mountainous areas the roads are open for all vehicles but slippery.

Police recommend special attention to those travelling on the road network in the mountainous areas, and vehicle drivers are advised to drive at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead, and give way to other passing drivers where necessary.

In general, those travelling on the road network are advised to obey traffic signs and the road traffic code to avoid road accidents.
