A case of theft of 7500 euros from a house is being investigated by the Famagusta CID

A case of theft of a sum of money, amounting to seven and a half thousand euros, from an elderly woman's house in Paralimni, is being investigated by the Famagusta CID.

As Steve Theodoulou told the Cyprus News Agency, a press spokesman for the Famagusta Police Directorate yesterday, Wednesday, March 9, a complaint was lodged[/B] with the Famagusta Police Department by an elderly resident of Paralimni that on the morning of the same day she was visited at her home by an unknown man[/B].[/B]

The man pretending to sell household utensils entered the home of the elderly woman and allegedly stole the sum of money of 7500 euros.

According to Mr. Theodoulou, members of the Famagusta CID visited the scene and took difference of evidence for scientific examination. The man is described as being of slim build, 1.70 meters tall, with short black hair.

According to Mr. Theodoulou "police examinations are being extended to closed circuit surveillance in the area."

Mr. Theodoulou appealed to the public to be particularly careful and if they notice anything objectionable to contact the Paralimni police station and the Famagusta police station.
