Arrest of 18-year-old in child pornography possession case He uploaded more than 100 files with child sexual abuse material.

After evaluating information received from Europol, that a particular user of an account on a social networking platform uploaded over 100 files containing child sexual abuse material to the internet,[/B] members of the Cybercrime Branch proceeded to arrest a person aged 18.

The18-year-old was arrested this morning, under a court warrant, while a mobile phone was found in his possession and seized as evidence.

Subsequently, in asearch conducted under a court warrant[/B] at his home[/B], a mobile phone and two USBs were found and seized as evidence.

The suspectinterrogated allegedly admitted to committing the offences.

The Cybercrime Branch is continuing its investigations.
