A 16-year-old permanently residing in Cyprus was arrested in a case of housebreaking and theft

According to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, a complaint was filed on 16.1.22 by a 40-year-old man[/B] that his residence was broken into on 10.12.21 from 07:00 in the morning until 16:00 in the afternoon and during the time he was absent from it.

From the burglary the alleged offender allegedly took from him, according to the complaint, men's watches and some tools of a total value of 1,790 euros.

The complainant said that while inspecting photos on a mass media he saw a 16-year-old wearing[/B] his watch and also the sunglasses that were stolen[/B] from his residence.

The 16-year-old is a friend of the complainant's son and according to the complaint was visiting the residence of the 40-year-old frequently.

As a result, the Paphos Police proceeded to issue an arrest warrant against the 16-year-old, who was arrested.

Subsequently, the young man was questioned and allegedly admitted to possession of the items while making allegations about the possession of the watch.

Subsequently, the 16-year-old was charged in writing to be summoned to court later.
