A 33-year-old woman was detained for assaulting a police officer and refusing to wear a protective mask in violation of the Dialysis Law.
According to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michael Ioannou, yesterday at approximately 14:25, a 33 year old female holder of a Russian passport who is a permanent resident of Ayia Napa
The 33 year old woman arrived at Pafos Airport on a flight from Moscow[/B][/B]
Mr. Ioannou , allegedly refused to undergo a PCR test and did not wear a protective mask . Police were alerted to the case and members of the police approached the woman and reported that she committed offences in violation of the Dialysis Law.
The 33-year-old did not comply and then handed her passport to a police officer to have her details recorded.
Subsequently, however, she allegedly struck the officer with her hands , grabbed the passport while pushing the officer with her body to avoid the check . The 33-year-old was arrested and taken to the Paphos police station.
Subsequently she , was charged in writing and released to be summoned to court later. She eventually consented and was given a PCR test.
Paphos Police are investigating the case.
