[Cyprus Times] Hajipandela visits the "Agia Skepi" Addiction Treatment Community

Health Minister's visit to the "Agia Skepi" Addiction Treatment Community Expressed the Ministry's support to all efforts to provide social and psychotherapeutic support to vulnerable groups

The Minister of Health, Mr. Michael Hadjipandela visited today the "Agia Skepi" Addiction Treatment Community in Filani, where he was briefed by the Director of the Treatment Program of the institution, Ms. Since its establishment in 1998, the Therapeutic Community operates as a non-profit psychological rehabilitation programme, with a programme accredited by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA). It is the largest rehabilitation community in Cyprus and is a member of the European Federation of Treatment Communities. It offers the possibility of acquiring skills with a view to the social reintegration of long-term users of addictive substances.

Mr. Hadjipandela congratulated the management of the Community for its remarkable work, expressing at the same time the support of the Ministry of Health in every effort of social and psychotherapeutic support of vulnerable groups of the population.
