Health Minister pulls the "ear" of pharmacists - There are complaints that pharmacies are issuing fake rapid tests The Pharmaceutical Services have no information, a competent source tells the Cyprus Times
In a stern letter, Health Minister Michael Hadjipandela addressed the Pancyprian Pharmaceutical Association and warns with measures and controls in pharmacies, as he says there are complaints that in some cases their members are issuing fake certificates of infection against covid-19.
At the same time, in a communication that the Cyprus Times had with a competent source, pharmacists say they are unaware of the issue.
What the Minister of Health says in his letter:
Issuing fake certificates of nociception
"I refer to the above issue, as there are complaints that certain of your members are ignoring the instructions of the Ministry of Health and are taking illegal actions by issuing fake nociception results against Covid-19.
With this letter, I draw your attention and request that you inform your members as I have instructed you to intensify checks on pharmacies conducting Rapid test antigen detection test.
Random checks will be conducted on customers of the pharmacies and if it is found that a fake result was issued, the Ministry of Health will revoke the license to conduct tests of the pharmacy in question and will be subject to criminal penalties."
