A meeting under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was held today at the Maximos Mansion with the participation of the Minister of National Defence Nikos Panagiotopoulos and the Chief of the Armed Forces Konstantinos Floros.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the military situation in Ukraine. By his decision, Greece, responding to Ukraine's request, in consultation with its NATO allies, its partners in the EU and showing its practical solidarity with the suffering Ukrainian people, is sending defense material with two C-130s that will depart for Poland within the day.

Also within the day, significant humanitarian aid will be sent, which will be accompanied by Deputy Minister of National Defence Nikos Hardalias.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister's Secretary General Grigoris Dimitriadis and Ambassador Anna-Maria Bura.
