Accepted, in its entirety, was the recommendation of the committee of experts on the further relaxation of measures to deal with the pandemic by the government.

Earlier, the recommendation of the committee of experts on the government's request to increase spectator attendance at stadiums from 10% to 50% was positive. At the same time, the experts also gave the green light for school trips from next week, and for multi-day trips from March.

Furthermore, they also said "yes" to the return of stand-up entertainment.

In addition, conferences will be held with 100% occupancy if they are vaccinated. A "hybrid" event with remote participation for the unvaccinated is envisaged.

Immediately after the meeting of the expert committee, Health Minister Thanasis Pleyris said the following:

"At its meeting today, the expert committee, at the request of the government, recommended the lifting of the ban on standing entertainment, the start of school excursions, the increase of the occupancy rate in stadiums to 50% and the implementation of teleworking in the private and public sectors to 20%.



At its meeting tomorrow, the committee will consider individual demands. The committee's recommendation is accepted by the government and the details will be spelled out in the pending EO. The new measures will come into effect from Saturday 19.02.22."
