The German Foreign Ministry, in a statement issued on Saturday, calls on German citizens to leave Ukraine.
According to the statement, tensions between Russia and Ukraine have escalated due to the presence and movements of massive Russian military forces on the border with Ukraine. A military conflict cannot be ruled out.
If you are currently in Ukraine, please make sure that your presence is necessary. Otherwise, leave the country immediately.
At the same time, Germany's Foreign Minister, Annalena Berbock, said that Germany will not close its embassy in Kiev, but will reduce its staff.
According to Berbock, Germany will continue intensive diplomatic efforts to find a solution, but at the same time, as she noted, we must be ready for all scenarios.
