The supply of electricity from the free areas to the occupied territories continues until January 12, following a new request by the Turkish Cypriot side.
The transfer of electricity is carried out through the existing interconnection of the systems on both sides. Yesterday, the electricity supply period related to a previous request by the T/C side had expired, which was renewed. Thus the supply continues from today until the 12th of this month since the damage to the generators of the two power stations in the occupied territories has not yet been repaired and there are periodic power cuts
The power transfer concerns the same hours, 16:00 - 21:30. 30 - 35 megawatts per day are granted.
