Special free parking permits for all low-emission hybrid cars for the whole of 2022, will be granted by Strovolos Municipality while continuing to grant free parking for all electric vehicles.
Specifically, an announcement by the Municipality states that following a decision of the City Council, from 1 January 2022 until 31 December 2022, special free parking permits will be granted in municipal parking lots for low-emission hybrid vehicles up to 50g CO2/Km.
In addition, the Municipality continues to provide special free parking permits for all electric vehicles.
According to the announcement, interested parties can complete and submit the relevant application via the Municipality's website or the Municipality's smart mobile app.
Alternatively, citizens can visit the Municipal Service Office at the Strovolos Municipal Hall (100 Strovolos Avenue). It is noted that along with the completed application, the motor vehicle registration certificate must be attached.
It is added that the special permit will be sent by post to the applicant, who is obliged to place it in such a place on his/her vehicle so that it is clearly visible.
It is noted that permits issued by the City that were valid until December 31, 2021 for hybrid and electric vehicles will be valid until March 31, 2022. Those who meet the relevant criteria are invited by the Municipality to reapply for the year 2022.
