Interior Minister Nikos Nouris leaves this morning for official contacts with his counterparts in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, as part of his efforts to strengthen the Republic of Cyprus' cooperation with third countries, particularly with regard to the management of migration.

An official statement said that Mr. Nouris will have a meeting today with the new Lebanese Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi. The meeting will review the cooperation between the two countries to date in relation to the bilateral agreement on the readmission of persons and discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation.

Tomorrow Wednesday, Mr. Nouris will have an official meeting with Saudi Interior Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef. The two Ministers will discuss issues of mutual interest, as well as the possibility of Saudi Arabia's assistance in developing synergies between the Republic of Cyprus and third countries in the region, aimed at strengthening the returns sector.

The Interior Minister will be accompanied by the Director of his Office Loizo Michael and will return to Cyprus on Wednesday afternoon.
