Three flights from Larnaca to Athens have been cancelled due to the extraordinary weather conditions
Three flights of Aegean airline from Larnaca to Athens, scheduled for the evening of Monday, January 24 and tomorrow, Tuesday, January 25, have been cancelled due to the extraordinary weather conditions prevailing in Greece.
According to the Hermes Airports website, the Larnaca - Athens flight scheduled to depart at 20.40 on Monday evening, January 24, has been cancelled.
Two other Aegean flights from Larnaca to Athens that were scheduled to depart tomorrow, Tuesday, January 25, at 05.25 and 10.30 in the morning have also been cancelled.
It should be noted that an Aegean flight scheduled to depart from Larnaca airport to Athens at 15.35 noon on Monday, finally departed one hour late, i.e. at 16.25 in the afternoon.
In addition, in a written announcement, Aegean airline "informs passengers that as of noon on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 12:00 and weather conditions permitting, a new modified schedule will be implemented, while relevant cancellations and flight modifications may also take place on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, depending on the development of weather conditions".
It is noted that "for passengers on all flights affected by these extraordinary conditions, today and tomorrow (24 and 25 January 2022) passengers can already change their tickets without rebooking fees. Furthermore, in order to avoid additional inconvenience, passengers are kindly requested, before proceeding to Athens International Airport and other airports of departure of their flights, to inform themselves about their flight from the websites of AEGEAN (www.aegeanair.com) and Olympic Air (www.olympicair.com).
