According to the commander, they bear 35% and 19% burns, mostly to the face, as well as inhalation burns

Shocking new video-documentary of the fire that broke out in an apartment in Metaxourgeio, resulting in the serious injury of two young children.

The images, brought to "light" by the Star, showing the efforts of passers-by and neighbors to extricate from the burning apartment two siblings, a five-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, are chilling.

The children were eventually rescued from the flames, semi-conscious and with burns, with the testimony of a neighbour who massaged them until doctors arrived shocking

"They were like two living dolls, my heart hurts" she describes.

The two children remain intubated and in a serious condition in the ICU of the Children's Hospital. According to the commander, they suffer 35% and 19% burns, mostly to the face, as well as inhalation burns.

The fire, as reported by the same media, most likely broke out from a radiator in the two children's bedroom. It is noted that the building that went up in flames was rented by a non-governmental organization to accommodate refugee and migrant families.
