Fire in a mobile canteen in Avgorou.
According to the Fire Brigade, the incident occurred at half past 7 o'clock last night when a call was received for a grass fire in the village of Avgorou.
The Famagusta Fire Station Sergeant Adamou Adamou responded with a firefighting team and a fire engine.
Upon arrival, the firefighting team found that the fire was in a wheeled food preparation canteen, which was parked in an open area. The fire was extinguished before the arrival of the Fire Department, by persons who were in the area.
A final extinguishment was carried out by the Fire Department. The fire and heat caused extensive damage to the canteen, the causes of which will be investigated later today, in cooperation with the Police.
