A fire at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant caused by Russian bombing has been extinguished by firefighters, Ukraine's emergency response service said.


The fire was brought under full control and "extinguished at 06:20", the Ukrainian agency clarified via Facebook.

It should be noted that the fire had broken out in part of the facilities of the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.

Earlier, the service said in a Facebook post that "units intervened to extinguish the fire in the plant's employee training building," clarifying that no casualties have been reported.

44 firefighters with 11 vehicles were involved in the extinguishing operation.
