Complaints of 14 citizens and 9 businesses for violation of measures against the dispersal of COVID-19
In 14 complaints of citizens and 9 businesses for violation of measures against the dispersal of the coronavirus, the Police made in the last 24 hours.
As a representative of the communication branch of the Police told CNA, during the last 24 hours, which ended at 06:00 on Thursday morning, a total of 1,854 checks were carried out throughout free Cyprus.
In Nicosia 437 checks were carried out and 4 citizens and 5 establishments were reported, in Limassol 145 checks were carried out with 2 citizens and 3 establishments reported, in Larnaca 3 citizens were reported after 397 checks, in Paphos 1 establishment was complained about after 181 checks, in Famagusta 5 citizens were complained about after 434 checks, while in Morphou 157 checks were carried out without any complaints.
Finally, the Traffic Police conducted 103 checks without any complaints.
Regarding complaints against establishments, in Nicosia the police fined €1,000 to an establishment where an employee without a safe pass was found, imposed a fine of €500 on two managers of establishments[/B], who did not possess a safe pass, imposed a fine of €4.000 to a bakery[/B] for not checking a safe pass and finally a fine of €750 was imposed on a tavern where the manager was working without a mask.
In Limassol a fine of €8.000 to a supermarket for not carrying out a safe pass check, €750 to an establishment where an employee was found without a safe pass, and €500 to a beer hall where a patron was found without a valid safe pass.
Finally in Paphos,[/B] a fine of €500 was imposed on a barber shop, where a manager was found without a mask and a valid safe pass.
