The Agricultural Payments Agency announces the 1st Notice of the Scheme/METRO 5.2 "Support for investments for the restoration of agricultural potential", of the Cyprus Rural Development Programme 2014 2020.
Through Measure 5.2, financial support is provided to farmers affected by the catastrophic fires that broke out:
- on 16/6/21 in the Communities of Agia Marina Xyliatou and Platanistassa,
- on 26/6/2021 in the Communities of Koilis and Talas,
- on 3/7/2021 in the Communities of Arakapa, Eptagonia, Akapnou, Διεrona, Odou, Ora, Melini, Sikopetra, Agios Vavatsinias and Vavatsinias and
- on 19/9/21 in the Communities of Yolos, Simou, Drymos and Drynia
The measure provides support to affected farmers who have restored or intend to restore their agricultural potential (e.g.(e.g. agricultural machinery, outbuildings, mechanical equipment) and continue to operate in the same productive sector as they did before the disastrous events.
Applications may be submitted from Monday, 7 February2022 until Friday, 20 May 2022 (11:59 p.m.) online at www.eas.capo.gov.cy. Please note that applications are to be submitted only through accredited consultant bodies approved for this purpose by the Department of Agriculture.
