The number of hospitalized patients with coronavirus has increased New cases in nursing homes

The bad epidemiological picture of the country continues. The Ministry of Health today announced 3,959 cases from a total of 152,238 tests.

Although fewer cases were announced today than yesterday and the positivity rate dropped to 2.6%, unfortunately four new deaths of our fellow citizens from coronavirus were recorded.

They are a 97-year-old, a 63-year-old, an 82-year-old and an 82-year-old who ended up in public hospitals in the last 24 hours.

At the same time, the increase in hospitalization by 14 patients is also recorded in the negative. According to the Ministry of Health, 244 patients are currently hospitalized with coronavirus, 77.05% of whom have no history of vaccination.

Eighty-three of the hospitalized are in serious condition, 26 are intubated, 7 are in an Intensive Care Unit off ventilator and 50 in an Intensive Care Unit.

Meanwhile, it tends to become alarming that cases are detected daily in nursing homes despite the measure to prohibit leaving or staying overnight in nursing homes.

Today an additional 19 cases were recorded in nursing homes in Nicosia and Limassol.
