Until February 14, submission of frost damage declarations for potato plantations in free Famagusta
The submission of applications for damage declarations continues until February 14, for frost damage to winter potato plantations (with planting date 15/10/2021 - 31/10/2021) and Spring I and II and to plantations under cover of seasonal vegetables (pumpkin, squash and watermelon).
A written statement from the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment states that "Damage Declaration forms for the Revised National Framework are available at the offices of the Famagusta District Agricultural Office, as well as in the "Risk Management Plan" section.
It is added that "owners, tenants or managers of affected farms are invited to submit a properly completed Damage Declaration Form no later than 14 February 2022 to the Famagusta District Agricultural Office".
According to the announcement "in case the beneficiary, for reasons of force majeure, is unable to submit the Damage Declaration within the deadline, it may be submitted through a Representative and in exceptional cases by fax or e-mail. [/P]The relevant form must clearly state the plot details (as shown on the Extensive Payment Declaration) and the details of the crop (date of planting, variety and area per variety) affected. The form must be accompanied by a copy of an Application for Extensive Payments to the CMO for 2021.
According to the Risk Management in Agricultural Production and Related Matters Act of 2019 (103 (I)/2019), in all cases of crops where a Crop Declaration is required to be submitted, it must have already been submitted by the affected parties.
The notice further states that "in cases where the harvest will be carried out directly, representative witnesses should be left, in consultation with the officials of the District Agricultural Office".

It is noted that according to Law 103 (I)/2019, a farm manager, who has paid in advance his annual contribution, before the occurrence of any damage, is entitled to aid.
