They denounce as false their colleagues' testimonies of harassment and rape and claim that "Hefner was a man committed to living honestly and freely."
If the recent revelations made by former Playboy bunnies about Hugh Hefner and what was going on behind the closed doors of his famous mansion "burned" the famous businessman, there are his "loyal followers" who rush to his defense.
The new documentary entitled "Secrets of Playboy", released on the A&E television network, has irreparably exposed the memory of the "nude mogul" as his former bunnies accuse him of sexual harassment, orgy parties ,in which they took part involuntarily, abuse and other obscene acts.

However, not all seem to share the same views, as a group of "bunnies" have signed a letter with their names on it, making their support for their "benefactor" clear.
"We are signing the letter to defend Hugh Hefner. As far as we have known Hef, he was an understanding and highly polite man who defended free thinking. He was committed to living an honest, sincere life and nothing but that," it reads."

In fact, within that letter they condemn the A&E documentary, stating that it is based on lies and fabrications intended to tarnish the memory of the "great Hefner."
"I proudly sign this letter in recognition of Hugh Hefner's character and against A&E's false claims," the letter concludes.
Of course, the television network was quick to respond to the women defending Hefner in an official statement, stating: "The stories shared on Secrets of Playboy are the personal experiences of the documentary's participants and deserve to be told, regardless of how difficult it may be for some to hear them. Signing a letter or having a different experience with Mr. Hefner, or Playboy in general, does not negate the experiences of those who have come forward to share their truth on the show. We look forward to continuing to bring these stories to light."

The women who spoke in the documentary describe chilling moments they experienced "locked" in the luxury mansion.
Among them, Holly Madison, who was at Hugh Hefner's side for years, claimed that she was "afraid to leave him as he had footage of her private moments that she could publish".
Of course, she was not alone, as she claims Hugh Hefner was in possession of footage of all the girls living at the mansion and used it to blackmail them.

This claim is confirmed in the documentary by Hugh Hefner's widow, Crystal, in the documentary. As she says, it was she who found all this material after his death and destroyed it.
"I found thousands of copies with photos and videos of the girls. I destroyed them all, one by one. There were not only women from the mansion, but others who had left or even unrelated women he just liked," he says in the documentary.

Since all these allegations about Hugh Hefner in the documentary came to light, Playboy's new management issued a statement making it clear that they are opposed to Hefner's stance and condemn his actions.
"First and foremost, we want to say that we trust the women who have spoken out and their stories, and we strongly support the individuals who have come forward to share their experiences. As a sex-based company, we believe that safety is paramount and anything less is unforgivable. We are in no way associated with the Hefner family and will only keep the good aspects of their legacy, promoting safety, pleasure and freedom."
