New arrest in the Asbestos double murder - Explosive developments in the case
The developments in the ongoing murder case of the two women from Russia that has shocked the nation are staggering, with the two suspects in custody.
It seems that the arrest of the 30-year-old alleged accomplice of the confessed perpetrator last Saturday paved the way for the investigators' next moves.
Evaluating evidence and following what the 30-year-old said in his statement, the Limassol CID investigators made another arrest in the case.
This is a 41-year-old man from Syria, who is being questioned at the offices of the Limassol CID and will be brought before the Court tomorrow.
According to the Cyprus Times, for some hours now, the investigators of the case had in their hands the telecommunication data from the mobile phone of the second suspect, while they were also evaluating what he had mentioned in his testimony.

The detention order of the confessed killer was renewed
It is recalled that earlier today the 32-year-old confessed killer was brought before the Limassol District Court again. A detention order was issued against him for another 8 days.
However, the investigators of the Limassol CID are engaged in a race to set up the puzzle of the brutal murders, as they are convinced that both the 32-year-old and the 30-year-old are hiding important evidence from the authorities.
As the Cyprus Times reported on Tuesday morning, the 32-year-old gunman appears to have claimed to investigators that the killing was preceded by an altercation with the two women over issues concerning his religion[/b][/b] and masculinity and insists he was alone in the cottage on the day of the murder.
