In a post on social media, the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community confirmed the information that he carries the COVID-19 virus.
"Following nasal congestion and flu symptoms, I have learned that the result of the PCR test [I UNDERWENT] is positive," Ersin Tatar announced.
"I am in good condition. I want to convey [THE INFORMATION], to my precious people, that I have been isolated," Mr Tatar added.
Tatar makes a call for observance of protection rules and participation in the vaccination campaign.
