-Without being blamed for the 48 years of illegal occupation and colonisation of the Republic of Cyprus' territories.

-Without underlining its responsibilities for the long-standing violations of international law, the failure to respect the sovereign rights of the Republic of Cyprus through the violations in the Cypriot EEZ."

"The report reiterated once again its deafening silence on holding Turkey accountable for its repeated violations of what the UN resolutions stipulate," the EPP added.

"Indeed," the EPP continues, "the leaders of the two communities were again urged to have direct cooperation and to emphasize the technical committees."

"Unfortunately, through the Pontiopolitan policy pursued by G.The Cyprus problem is not presented as an international problem of invasion, continued occupation and ethnic cleansing but as a bi-communal issue, with Turkey, which is responsible for its creation, being completely absolved of responsibility for what it has caused."
