The government of the Republic has responded to the request of the Turkish Cypriot side for the provision of electricity at certain times, according to CNA.
The request was conveyed on December 23 and the allocation of electricity through the interconnection of the two systems that already exists, has been made from then until today, December 28, between the hours of 16.00 and 21.30, which are considered peak hours for electricity demand.
[/p]As CNA is also informed, so far there has been no new request from the T/C side for an extension of the electricity transfer, but if there is, it will be met.
It is noted that the T/C side owes about 2100 megawatts of electricity allocated to it between August and October, which is expected to be repaid through the interconnection of the two systems.
In the occupied territories there is a problem with the 4 generators generating electricity and for a long time there have been power cuts every day in different areas. As reported by Haber Kipris, a power outage was announced for tomorrow in the Lefka area between 9 am and 4 pm due to a fault.
