The 34-year-old Egyptian man,[/B] who is accused of abusing his ex-partner and then holding her hostage at his home on New Year's Eve, is expected to walk through the door of the investigator's office in a few hours.
The offender was brought before the prosecutor on Sunday morning where he requested and was given time to apologise this morning.
A case has been filed against him by the Athens Security Subdivision for attempted manslaughter, kidnapping, insubordination, violence against officials and judicial persons, explosives and violations of weapons legislation.
Yesterday, the 31-year-old girl from Bulgaria described to the interrogator the "nightmare" she experienced on Saturday afternoon[/B] at the hands of the 34-year-old.
As she said in her initial statement to the police, the perpetrator not only beat her but live-streamed the horror moments through her personal Facebook account.
