A case of illegal possession and transportation of explosives, specifically a number of 9mm bullets, is being investigated by the police in Limassol, who proceeded to arrest a 33-year-old man in whose possession the bullets were found. The suspect was taken into custody by court order for the purposes of police investigations.

The 33-year-old was arrested yesterday at noon by members of the police who located in his possession a package containing 48 full 9mm bullets during a search carried out at his Limassol residence. For the possession of the number of bullets he made allegations which are being investigated.

For the purposes of investigating the case, this morning the 33-year-old was brought before the Limassol District Court, which approved a request by the police and issued a detention order for six days.[/B]

The case is being investigated by the Limassol CID.
