Where the divers will search

The searches, according to information from voria.gr, will be carried out by the Coast Guard and specifically by the Port Authority of Mount Athos in the wider area of the Gulf of Sighi.

In the context of the patrols of the Coast Guard, searches continue in the land and sea area, while the coastal vessels have been informed about the disappearance of the 58-year-old monk.

On Christmas Eve, the monk's boat, with which he had gone fishing, was spotted in Alonissos by a commercial vessel. The empty boat was transferred by the Port Authority of Mount Athos to the port of Daphne on Mount Athos.
